What We Install
Artificial turf has come a long way from the stiff, plastic-looking grass of the past. Today's synthetic turf looks and feels like real grass, drains faster than natural soil, and handles Florida's heat, humidity, and heavy rainfall without going brown or developing bare spots.
We install artificial turf for residential front and back yards, pet runs and dog areas, backyard putting greens, playgrounds and play areas, pool surrounds, and commercial properties. Every installation includes a professional base system with proper drainage, compacted aggregate, and a weed barrier — not just turf rolled over dirt.
Synthetic turf eliminates mowing, watering, fertilizing, and pest control permanently. In Northwest Florida, where summer watering alone can run $150 to $350 per month for a large lawn, turf pays for itself within a few years.
Benefits of Synthetic Grass in Northwest Florida
The Florida panhandle's climate presents unique challenges for natural lawns — scorching summers, heavy rains, sandy soil, and chinch bug infestations. Artificial turf sidesteps all of them.
Zero Water Bills
No irrigation needed — ever. In a region where summer water restrictions are common, synthetic turf stays green without a single drop from your sprinkler system.
No Mowing or Fertilizing
Eliminate weekly mowing, seasonal fertilizer applications, and herbicide treatments. Your weekends belong to you, not your lawn mower.
Pet and Kid Friendly
Non-toxic, lead-free turf with antimicrobial infill that resists odors. Drains faster than natural grass so there are no muddy paws or puddles after Florida rainstorms.
Built-In Drainage
Our base system drains at 30+ inches per hour — far faster than Florida's sandy soil. No standing water, no washouts, no erosion even in tropical downpours.
15+ Year Lifespan
Quality synthetic turf lasts 15 to 20 years with minimal maintenance. UV-stabilized fibers resist fading even under direct Gulf Coast sun exposure.
Year-Round Green
No dormancy in winter, no brown patches from drought, no bare spots from foot traffic. Your yard looks the same in January as it does in July.
Custom Putting Greens
Practice your short game without leaving home. We design and install custom putting greens with realistic ball roll, contoured surfaces, and multiple hole positions — sized to fit any backyard.
Putting green turf uses shorter, denser fibers than lawn turf, with a specialized infill that creates a true ball roll speed between 9 and 11 on the Stimpmeter. We build undulations and breaks into the sub-base so the green plays like a real course, not a flat carpet.
Greens can include chipping areas, fringe turf that transitions to your existing landscape, and built-in lighting for evening play. Most residential greens range from 200 to 800 square feet and install in 2 to 3 days.
Our Installation Process
A proper base is what separates turf that lasts 15+ years from turf that buckles and floods within 2. Our 6-step process ensures drainage, stability, and a natural look.
- Excavate 3 to 4 inches of existing soil and grade for positive drainage
- Install commercial-grade weed barrier fabric across the entire area
- Lay and compact 2 to 3 inches of crushed limestone aggregate base
- Roll turf panels with fibers oriented in the same direction for a uniform look
- Seam panels with adhesive and turf tape — invisible joins that will not separate
- Secure perimeter with 6-inch galvanized nails every 3 inches along edges
- Spread silica sand and rubber or Envirofill infill for weight, cushion, and fiber support
- Power broom to distribute infill and stand fibers upright for a natural finish
Artificial Turf FAQ
Quality synthetic turf lasts 15 to 20 years with basic maintenance. UV-stabilized fibers resist fading, and the drainage base we install prevents settling. Most manufacturers offer 8 to 15 year warranties on fading and fiber integrity.
Yes. We use non-toxic, lead-free turf with antimicrobial infill that neutralizes odors from pet waste. The turf drains faster than natural grass, so urine does not pool on the surface. Solid waste is picked up the same way as a natural lawn, and the area can be rinsed with a hose.
Synthetic turf does absorb heat and can be warmer than natural grass on direct-sun summer afternoons. However, modern turf products with lighter-colored infill reduce surface temperatures significantly compared to older products. A quick spray with a hose cools the surface immediately. Shaded areas and areas near tree cover stay comfortable throughout the day.
Minimal. Blow off leaves and debris with a leaf blower as needed. Rinse pet areas with a hose weekly. Brush high-traffic areas with a stiff broom once a month to keep fibers standing upright. That is it — no mowing, watering, fertilizing, or pest control.
Absolutely. The perforated backing and crushed limestone base we install drains at 30+ inches per hour. Northwest Florida's heaviest rainstorms typically produce 2 to 4 inches per hour — well within the system's capacity. There is no standing water and no washout.
